Palm Warbler ~ First Migrant Sighting of 2012

A great shot by photographer Lloyd Spitalnik.

My first wood warbler sighting this year was a Palm Warbler.  I walked the 3.5 mile Wildwood Park Loop and was 3/4 of the way through when a saw the flash of yellow. Packing only my Swarovski’s, I stopped and watched a male and female frolic and feed for about 15 minutes.  Other sightings at Wildwood, April 1, 2012 were a Short Tailed Hawk,  and an American Coot.  Still waiting for my new Nikon D7000 Body, hope to get it and learn enough about it to be able to use it this upcoming weekend.
